The Facts on Vertigo

Now, there's a chance that you have suffered from Vertigo to one degree or another. That's because it is simply the medical term for the diagnosis of dizziness. That means that while some people suffer from Vertigo that because of an inner ear problem, others suffer from it because they stand up too quickly, suffer from an accident, or because they spin around too quickly.

While there is no one cause of Vertigo, two conditions that manifest themselves as a more severe types of Vertigo are Multiple Sclerosis and Meniere's Disease. Those conditions, along with all others that cause this conditions affects the Vestibular System3 (part of the Central Nervous System), which regulates a person's orientation with their environment and their balance.

While the treatments for Vertigo are limited, there are medications and pharmacological treatments that have been found to help people who suffer from this condition. The problem with all of them though is that they come with the risk of side effects.
